The Bhutan International Film Festival is open to all works of cinematic story telling – documentary (any length), feature, short or animation – not including commercials, brand advertisements or virals.

We encourage challenging works push the boundaries, and encourage debate, and value inventiveness and craftsmanship. We do not screen didactic work or play films best suited for the small screen.

Submissions for the 2015 festival are now open. Just click on the button above and follow the instructions to register and apply.

If you’d prefer to send us your film, or deliver it personally, please download our application form (link to form) or include a short letter outlining your film’s title, length, format, and genre, any previous screenings and awards, and any other information you think may be relevant to the judges, and include that with your DVD.

Whether you apply online, or by letter, our preferred screening method is a password protected Vimeo link. If you’re able to do this easily. You can email us your link and password to: submissions@bhiff.org
